These are actual lava rock pieces, not lava rock chips.
Rocks are 1/2" - 1-1/2" in size
Use loose lava rock to accent your fountain or to fill the void in around the base of your fountain.

Lava rocks do have some red rocks in them, just is the way they come. The ratio is like 98% black and 2% red. We do compensate for the 2% by having our bags come in 22 lbs. instead of 20 lb bags.
